We are looking to hire a  Finance Director, FP&A  immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview

The Director of FP&A is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the FP&A SG&A team, ensuring the team produces insight, analysis, and action-oriented reporting. This role will partner and collaborate with Global Functional leads, Leadership, and the Business. In addition, this role will provide the vision and drive the execution for the transformation of the Global FP&A CoE. This position drives FP&A excellence through best practice adoption, knowledge sharing, and process transformation to develop a global standard and ensure a high-quality service is provided to internal customers. This includes working with the Global FP&A and Analytics CoE Director, fully leveraging and exploiting technology and analytical / visualization tools to drive insight and efficiency. The Director will be required to build and manage strong relationships across Corporate / Regional FP&A teams and provide strong technical stewardship and direction to the CoE team, determining priorities and goals. The Director will also be the owner of standardization and harmonization by documenting all processes and procedures across the team and will actively identify ways to eliminate non-value work and look for ways to innovate new ways to drive insight for the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial partnership with Global and Regional Business Partners, including preparing annual budgets, long-term planning, quarterly forecasts, month-end closing processes, and ad hoc analytics.
  • Drives the accurate consolidation of SG&A and develops clear narratives around the strategic direction of each Global Function, as well as their impacts on the P&L within Corporate and the Regions.
  • Oversee the production of value-added insights into the operating results of the business and works with functional leaders to make suggestions on how to overcome gaps and make improvements related to SG&A.
  • Oversee preparation of actionable management reporting and analysis providing meaningful and fact-based insights to support Corporate and Regional FP&A, Leadership, and the business for SG&A.
  • Ensure integrity, financial control, SOX compliance, and proper approvals and accounting treatment in line with policies and procedures for all related key activities
  • Ensure all reporting and financial procedures are aligned with corporate guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Leads, manages, and supports the talent and capability within the team, including accountability for the team's talent management processes, employee development, and cultivating an inclusive environment.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or related) - MBA or CPA Preferred

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of senior-level financial planning & analysis, commercial / sales/ supply chain finance, or accounting experience required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organization skills required.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability to plan one's own work and respective deadlines.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong technical Finance understanding and business acumen
  • Working knowledge of sub-functions across Finance Function (Shared Services, Commercial Finance Regions, Finance & Treasury, Tax, etc.)
  • Proven experience to be able to articulate complex ideas and concepts through concise verbal and/or written communication
  • Proven ability to interpret data, order and assess its value, and present the findings to the relevant stakeholders concisely
  • Microsoft Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth working knowledge of SAP Financial modules.
  • Experience with Hyperion Consolidation and Reporting software, specifically, Enterprise and Retrieve. TM1 experience desirable

Base Salary: $118,900 to 214,030 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
