Job Description

As deepfakes and synthetic identities become mainstream, protecting personal identity has never been more challenging. At Microblink, we’re building the biometric infrastructure to meet that challenge—and we’re looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help lead the way.

As part of our Biometrics team, you’ll take ownership of our iOS SDK development, working alongside backend, ML, product, and security experts to build seamless connections between iOS apps and our identity verification systems. Your work will enable customers to embed advanced fraud prevention tools into their apps easily, reliably, and at scale.

We’re looking for an experienced iOS developer with a strong foundation in native development and the curiosity to work across layers, including occasional C++ integration. You’ll help architect high-performance SDKs from the ground up and contribute to launching innovative identity products that protect millions of users worldwide.

If you’re passionate about iOS and care deeply about building technology that safeguards people’s identities, we’d love to hear from you.

A little bit about us

Microblink is an AI company specializing in computer vision and identity fraud detection. We create unique products and tools designed to make the future of digital identity a secure “no-fake-zone.” Our expertise includes running efficient machine learning models directly on-device, enabling a uniquely seamless Identity Verification (IDV) experience. With teams across the US and Europe and main offices in New York and Zagreb, we touch hundreds of millions of users each year, processing over 800 million identity documents across more than 70 countries worldwide.

Explore our tech in action: .

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Develop a powerful iOS SDK for our Biometrics Verification solution ensuring fast performances and easy integration.
  • Design highly secure and efficient applications by fully leveraging modern mobile hardware, optimizing for speed, low latency, on-device machine learning, and advanced mobile optics and camera systems.
  • Participate actively in the entire product life cycle, from initial design and prototyping to launch and maintenance, making an impact and take ownership while you grow
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team, interacting with our proprietary C++ inference stack, and interacting with components written in .NET, and Python. This is a unique opportunity to expand your impact vertically across a highly efficient tech stack.
  • Adopt a hacker mindset: think like an attacker to proactively identify weaknesses and develop ML-powered defenses against fraud and adversarial behavior
  • Quickly onboard into a new team by proactively learning systems, workflows, and team processes; actively seek out best practices and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth integration.
  • Help the team make data-driven, sound decisions regarding frontend technologies, patterns, standards and architecture

You’ll be successful in this role if you

  • Have several years of experience building on iOS, well understand modern mobile hardware, and you are passionate about building reusable components
  • Are excited about creating products powered by efficient (and proprietary) Machine Learning and Computer Vision technologies.
  • Enjoy building products where efficient compute and performance are critical.
  • Have a strong software engineering foundation, including strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and iOS architecture patterns.
  • Have extensive hands-on experience with foundational iOS technologies:
    • Objective-C and Swift
    • Native iOS APIs for Camera management, motion sensors, on-device ML
  • Have an essential software development skillset (“it goes without saying” type of skills): GIT, team collaboration skills and tools, and good English language skills.
  • Are responsible, proactive and driven by organizational and team success
  • Take full ownership of your work from idea to delivery, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance

A plus is if you also have experience with

  • C++ and C++ bindings
  • On-Device ML capabilities
  • Working in fintech and e-commerce, developing identity verification and fraud prevention solutions at scale

  • Unlimited PTO, giving you the flexibility to take time off as needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Location-specific “Pick & Choose” benefits tailored to meet diverse personal preferences and regional needs.
  • Flexible work arrangements, allowing you to adjust your schedule—whether working remotely or at our Zagreb office.
  • Opportunities to learn and develop your skills through internal L&D programs, and a supportive working environment.
