Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Programmer /Developer with extensive experience in Business Intelligence (BI), data visualization, and enterprise reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL development, SAP Business Objects, Qlik Sense, and Tableau, and will lead the design and development of BI solutions to support our government customer operations and decision-making processes. Applicants must have an active or prior security clearance for consideration.
This role will be instrumental in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights through dynamic dashboards and interactive reports, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and performance across platforms.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Design, develop, and maintain complex BI reports and dashboards using Qlik Sense, SAP Business Objects, and Tableau.
Gather and analyze reporting requirements through close collaboration with clients, business users, analysts, and data warehouse teams.
Generate ad hoc and comprehensive reports using SQL, Excel, ADS, and SQL Developer, meeting government standards and timelines.
Build advanced Qlik dashboards incorporating KPIs, drill-down capabilities, interactive charts, and advanced design elements across multiple data domains (e.g., BPETS, TSM, Encounters).
Optimize dashboard performance through data model design, load partitioning, versioning, and QVD techniques.
Implement security access controls, standardized themes, and custom UI components to ensure consistent and secure user experiences.
Lead reporting POCs (Proof of Concept) to evaluate new BI tool features and reporting strategies.
Support and enhance ETL processes using SSIS for data ingestion into SQL Server.
Perform extensive data validation and troubleshoot reporting/data issues to maintain high-quality, reliable outputs.
Administer Qlik Sense server environments, including console configurations, user access management, and performance tuning.
Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and peer reviews to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Experience: 8-12 years of professional experience in software development and application support.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
Expertise in Qlik Sense, SAP Business Objects, and SQL (complex query writing, data extraction from multiple databases).
Experience with Qlik Sense server administration, including user access, security roles, and console management.
Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS, and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong UI/UX skills for dashboard design and standardization.
Deep understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and advanced Qlik features (ODAG, QVDs, Geo Analytics).
Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into effective BI solutions.
Ability to work independently and lead projects from concept through delivery
REQUIRED - Active or prior security clearance, preferably with DHS (CBP BI) or DoD .
